Adult Faith Formation for Lent Jesus as Priest, Prophet and King In the Gospel of Saint Luke

Come and rediscover the Person of Jesus as our Priest, Prophet and King through the Gospel of Saint Luke.  Luke is our primary Gospel in the Lectionary Cycle of Year C. He is a gifted and marvelous story-teller.  Many parables and narratives found in Luke are unique to his story of the Good News: the infancy narrative of Jesus; the parable of the rich fool; the tale of Lazarus and Dives; the Good Samaritan and the Prodigal Son. In this five night Bible series, we will focus on the Person of Jesus as found in Luke’s Gospel: Jesus as our Priest, Prophet and King.  In addition to handouts, the course includes the text: Meeting St Luke Today: Understanding the Man, His Mission, and His Message" by Daniel J. Harrington, SJ.

Led by Deacon Mark Hobson, PhD.
